Lee spent six years with the Attorney General — Child Enforcement Division putting together and overseeing an efficient administrative due process for child support collections disputes.

In the 1990s, he represented creditors in bankruptcy proceedings and opening his own solo practice spanning administrative, civil, and criminal legal defense (occasionally representing a plaintiff or two). With after nearly a decade of experience on the staff at the Texas Workforce Commission and more than eight years as a staff attorney for Texas Medical Board.
